Classroom Partners
Experiencing a performing arts event is a powerful way to ignite a classroom conversation—which is exactly why we offer the Classroom Partners program for adventurous college and university instructors. Here’s how it works:
- Enroll as a Classroom Partner.
- Select the UW World Series performance you want your students to see.
- Distribute Classroom Partner coupons to your students, good for $10 tickets to the performance you select. (We supply you with the coupons, of course.)
- Your students redeem their coupons for $10 tickets at the UW Arts Ticket Office.
- Pick up a pair of complimentary instructor’s tickets at Will Call on the night of the performance. (We’ll set tickets aside for you once you’re enrolled.)
- You and your students enjoy the performance. That’s all there is to it.
UW World Series visiting artists explore themes and ideas that can compliment a wide variety of subjects. With artists and ensembles hailing from Harlem to South Africa and France to New Guinea, the world is literally at your back door. Where you take the learning is entirely up to you. (But if you’d like some suggestions, we can help with that, too.)
And Classroom Partners is not just for teachers and students in the performing arts! Whether you teach Physics or Philosophy, Mathematics or Comparative Literature, you can partner with the UW World Series.
To find out more about Classroom Partners and how to enroll, contact Teri Mumme by e-mail at tmumme@uw.edu or by phone at 206-685-0995.
See you soon at Meany Hall!
