Garrick Ohlsson has become well-known to Seattle audiences. This recital, in which the pianist will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s birth, will mark his 13th performance as part of the President’s Piano Series. The warm reception he has received at Meany Hall is not uncommon. Since his triumph as winner of the 1970 Chopin International Piano Competition, Ohlsson has established himself worldwide as a musician of interpretive and technical prowess.
