
The Emerson String Quartet stands alone in the history of quartets with an unparalleled list of achievements over three decades: more than thirty acclaimed recordings, nine Grammy Awards, three Gramophone Awards, and the coveted Avery Fisher Prize. UW World Series presents the group’s first Seattle appearance with new cellist Paul Watkins—their first member change in 34 years. Internationally celebrated pianist and UW Professor, Craig Sheppard, will join the Quartet on stage for the second half of the program.
